This malaria-free reserve is renowned for being one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in Africa, home to over 40 mammal species and approximately 2,000 animals, ensuring excellent game viewing throughout the year.

Begin your adventure with an open 4×4 safari in Schotia Private Game Reserve, where you’ll have the best chance to see the Big 5—Elephants, Lions, Buffalo, Black Rhinos, and Leopards—in their natural habitat. Schotia was the first reserve in the Cape Province to have free-roaming Lions, and sightings of these majestic predators are almost guaranteed on every game drive.

After exploring Schotia’s wilderness, enjoy a traditional South African braai lunch amidst the stunning surroundings of the reserve. In the afternoon, embark on a guided Giraffe Tracking walk at a nearby private reserve, led by expert local guides.
